Looking Forward to Mason

I've had a talk with Mandy the other day and she prepped me for what to expect. This will be my first time through this process it will be her third. I didn't realize how involved I would get to be . I know that it's Mason's day and Mandy will be the one to deliver. All eyes will be on Mom and Baby, but I so look forward to seeing my son. I haven't seen many births and most that I've witnessed or heard about, there was a small handfull of people in the room. But for Mason, it will be Mandy and me. When Mandy told me that I would probably be walking Mason out so that the family could see him for the first time, I was just amazed.

Will Mason Come Today?

Mandy seems awfully miserable in these late stages of pregnancy. She has a doctor's appointment in about 1 1/2 hours. Maybe the doctor will reschedule Mandy's C-section so that we can see him sooner. I know that Mandy would be very thankful not only to end the pregnancy but also so that we can finally welcome Mason into this world. As a first time father I'm very nervous. I am looking forward to Mason's arrival but I'm not as excited as I thought I would be. Whether Mason comes today or we have to wait until next monday I am excited about seeing him for the first time. I remember seeing a movie that a mother feels like a mother at the time of conception; a father feels like a father when the baby is born.

The Name Mason

We hard time figuring out what Mason's first name was going to be. Both Mandy and I couldn't decide. I of the names that I liked that she didn't like at all was Victor. We also thought about Karson. In the end we ended up with Mason. According to Bounty.com Mason is the 83 most popular name in 2007. That includes girl names too. We agreed early on that Mason's middle name would be Oliver. That's my middle name. Of course Mason's last name is Santos. This is want we came up with.

Mason means Stone Worker
Oliver means Olive Tree
Santos means Saint
